Mazda updates 2026 Mazda2 Hybrid for European market

Mazda has refreshed the 2026 Mazda2 Hybrid with expanded standard equipment, three new colours and design tweaks for higher grades

Mazda has updated the 2026 Mazda2 Hybrid for the European market, adding driver monitoring as standard across the range, three new exterior colours and expanded equipment on the entry Prime-Line grade. The B-segment full hybrid continues to use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor for a combined 116 PS.

On the entry Prime-Line, standard kit now includes heated front seats, a height-adjustable passenger seat, rear power windows, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and an upgraded four-speaker audio system. Body-coloured exterior mirror housings are now standard on Prime-, Centre- and Exclusive-Line grades, while Homura and Homura Plus retain black mirror caps.

Higher grades have also been refined, with Exclusive-Line gaining full LED headlights and rear lights, and Homura and Homura Plus introducing gloss black interior accents on the front console and door trims. The model is also offered in three new exterior colours: Charcoal Grey, Sky Grey and Fern Green.

The 2026 Mazda2 Hybrid uses a power-split full hybrid system that does not require external charging, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and reaching 175 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is 3.7–4.2 l/100 km with CO₂ emissions of 85–96 g/km, depending on the grade. Production began in March 2026 and vehicles are now arriving in European markets.
