Mazda returns to profitability, expects more in Q4 | Automotive World

Mazda has charted a path back to profitability after US tariffs dealt it a heavy blow, and Q4 could see it end on a record high. By Will Girling
In its Q3 2025/26 report, Mazda praised its stakeholders for managing to offset anticipated full-year tariff costs of JP¥230bn. From a JP¥46bn operating loss in Q1, the company stemmed decline significantly in Q2 and finally scored a JP¥31bn profit in Q3.
