LG Energy Solution brings battery software to SDVerse

LG Energy Solution has joined SDVerse, the automotive industry’s first business-to-business (B2B) marketplace for automotive software, becoming the first battery company to participate in the platform. The move extends the South Korean company’s activities beyond battery manufacturing into software and services for software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

Co-founded in 2024 by General Motors, Magna, and Wipro, SDVerse allows sellers to list software solutions that buyers can search, compare, and evaluate. LG Energy Solution is contributing five battery software products to the platform: Battery Platform SW, Safety Diagnostic Calibration Tool, Onboard FRISM, Onboard BLiS, and Onboard DASH.

The offerings span battery diagnostics, degradation management, and performance simulation. The company has accumulated more than 10,000 battery management patents across more than 20 years of development.
