Industry interest in wireless charging has ebbed and flowed, but momentum is once again on the rise. By Megan Lampinen
Wireless charging, also known as inductive charging, could become essential in a future where cars don’t always have human drivers. Most wireless setups draw on a magnetic resonance system in the ground that sends energy to a receiver embedded within an electric vehicle (EV). The driver simply parks on a designated pad and initiates the charging session.
