Hyundai has unveiled the Staria Electric at the Brussels Motor Show, marking the first fully electric version of its multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) range with an 84 kWh battery, 160 kW front-wheel-drive motor and estimated WLTP range of up to 400 km. The electric MPV features 800V architecture enabling 10-80% DC fast charging in approximately 20 minutes, with sales scheduled for Korea and Europe in the first half of 2026.

The Staria Electric will launch in two configurations: a seven-seat Luxury variant for family and leisure use, and a nine-seat Wagon for larger groups or shuttle operations. The model offers towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg and Vehicle-to-Load functionality for external power supply.
In a statement, Xavier Martinet, President and Chief Executive of Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “Hyundai continues to expand its electric offering to meet everyday mobility needs in Europe. Staria Electric brings our EV expertise to a vehicle that many customers already know and trust, combining Staria’s impressive space and flexibility with a new, fast-charging, high-voltage system and updated interior to deliver practical, efficient electric mobility for real-world use across Europe.”
Production will take place at Hyundai’s manufacturing plant in Ulsan, Korea. The interior features dual 12.3-inch displays and Hyundai’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit infotainment system with over-the-air update capability.
