HERE and Baidu Maps have signed an MoU to co-develop navigation, ADAS and intelligent driving maps for global automakers
HERE Technologies and Baidu Maps have signed a memorandum of understanding to co-develop in-vehicle navigation, ADAS and intelligent driving map solutions for global automakers. The deal pairs HERE’s AI-powered live map with Baidu’s navigation stack and is targeted at Chinese OEMs expanding into international markets.
On lane-level navigation, HERE will contribute its Dynamic Map Content and Connected Vehicle Service APIs while Baidu Maps builds a global navigation engine focused on lane-level capability and precise positioning. The integrated solution is pitched as a single framework Chinese automakers can run across domestic and overseas markets.

On HERE Predictive Signal Timing, an in-development service that anticipates traffic signal changes for smoother junction approaches, HERE supplies probe data and cloud APIs while Baidu contributes big-data mining algorithms and mass-production deployment experience.
The MoU also covers an integrated ADAS and Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) package, with Baidu building HERE’s lane-level, ADAS and ISA map data into features such as speed-limit advisory and predictive road attributes. A fourth strand explores generative AI for cockpit features.
The solutions will roll out in phases via pilot programmes before scaling into digital cockpit platforms. The MoU is the latest of HERE’s Auto China 2026 deals, alongside Kotei on AI-native navigation and an extended MengQing partnership for commercial vehicles.
