Harman has announced Ready Ride, a connectivity platform for motorcycles featuring OTA updates and Apple CarPlay support
Harman has announced Ready Ride, a connectivity platform designed for the two-wheeler market, featuring over-the-air (OTA) updates and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The platform, which was unveiled at MWC Barcelona 2026, is powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chip for two-wheelers.
Ready Ride comprises a scalable telematics control unit, software stack, cellular connectivity and an OEM backend. Harman says the platform is designed to reduce time-to-market for OEMs and lower total cost of ownership for riders through a standardised hardware and software approach.

The unit features IP69-certified sealing to block dust and water ingress, with shock and vibration performance validated for motorcycle conditions. Harman says its development roadmap includes theft alerts, stolen vehicle tracking and remote immobilisation capabilities.
According to Berg Insight, less than 5% of motorcycles globally are connected via telematics. Harman has delivered over 20 million connected vehicles across 120 countries in the automotive market, and says Ready Ride is its first platform designed specifically for the two-wheeler segment.
In a statement, Shahriar Ravari, Director and Ready Ride Business Lead at Harman, said: “Ready Ride brings our leading connectivity expertise to two-wheelers, reducing complexity with a standardised TCU foundation that helps OEMs launch faster, lower program cost, and scale confidently across regions and generations.” Harman is a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics.
