Garrett Motion has launched a turbocharger line designed for vehicles aged 15 years and older, now available in Europe
Garrett Motion has launched Garrett Original Maxlife, a turbocharger line designed for vehicles aged 15 years and older. The range is now available to distributors in Europe, with shipments to workshops having begun in January 2026.
The supplier said vehicles aged 15 years and older represent the fastest-growing segment in Europe, with owners increasingly price-sensitive as residual values decline. Garrett said the Maxlife range offers OEM-certified quality at lower price points, providing an alternative to non-OE products. The turbos are assembled using the company’s Smart Component Recovery process.
In a statement, Eric Fraysse, President of Global Aftermarket at Garrett, said: “Maxlife gives workshops and drivers a dependable solution at the right price. It preserves the performance and quality people expect from the Garrett name, while offering a cost-effective answer for ageing but still hard-working vehicles.”
The launch completes a three-tier aftermarket portfolio for Garrett: Original Equipment for newer vehicles, Original Reman remanufactured units for mid-age vehicles, and Maxlife for vehicles over 15 years old. Garrett said it has an installed base of turbochargers in more than 150 million vehicles globally and operates six R&D centres with 1,400 engineers.
