The electric flagship adds an optional 22 kW three-phase on-board charger and Stellantis-first Plug & Charge functionality
DS Automobiles has added Plug & Charge functionality and an optional 22 kW three-phase on-board charger to its flagship DS N°8, aimed at cutting AC charging times for the electric sedan. Plug & Charge, which automatically authenticates the vehicle at rapid-charging points, is a first within the Stellantis Group.
The feature is standard on DS N°8 models produced from early April 2026 and forms part of the Free2Move Charge ecosystem. Once connected to a compatible rapid-charger, the car authenticates via an embedded digital certificate, removing the need for manual identification, cards or badges.

Free2Move Charge provides access to more than one million charging points across Europe, including over 50,000 Plug & Charge-enabled rapid chargers. The app is live in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Austria.
The 22 kW three-phase charger is available as a €900 (US$1,053) option on FWD, FWD Long Range and AWD Long Range versions, and on Pallas and Etoile trims; the 11 kW unit remains standard across the range.
With the 22 kW charger, the FWD variant (73.7 kW/h battery) charges from 20% to 80% in two hours 35 minutes, versus four hours 55 minutes on 11 kW. The Long Range FWD (97.2 kW/h) takes three hours 20 minutes, against six hours 10 minutes. DS N°8 offers up to 750 km WLTP range, or 500 km on motorways.
