Daimler Coaches North America has opened its new US headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, spanning more than 43,000 square feet
Daimler Coaches North America has inaugurated its new US headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, as Daimler Buses strengthens its presence in the North American motorcoach market. The facility spans more than 43,000 square feet on a 12-acre site and includes pre-delivery inspection, a service centre, administrative offices, and a training and delivery centre for customers and service partners.
The site features secured parking for more than 100 motorcoaches and will serve as the hub for pre-delivery inspections of the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider, a three-axle high-deck coach developed exclusively for US operators. The company said employee numbers will increase by approximately 45% following the opening.

In a statement, Till Oberwörder, Chief Executive of Daimler Buses, said: “The Jacksonville headquarters is a symbol of our long-term commitment to the U.S. market, in which we are investing for the future. We are here to stay and aim to foster shared success through investments in local jobs and partnerships.”
The Mercedes-Benz Tourrider measures 45 feet in length and seats 56 to 60 passengers depending on configuration. It is powered by a 12.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine producing 450 hp and is available in Business and Premium variants. The Premium model is being showcased at the UMA Motorcoach Expo in Birmingham, Alabama.
