Chinese passenger car retail sales fell 6% in Q4, and the industry anticipates less growth in Q1 than the previous year. By Will Girling
Much like the US industry, China’s automakers saw a fourth quarter domestic sales dip, ending an otherwise strong year on a negative footing. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), passenger car retail sales in 2025 reached almost 24 million, up 4% year-on-year, but Q4 sales fell 6%.
