CharterUP and Holon have partnered to deploy level 4 autonomous shuttles across US campuses, airports, and transit networks

Group transportation platform CharterUP has announced a partnership with autonomous mobility firm Holon to deploy Holon’s level 4 autonomous shuttles across CharterUP’s US network, covering campuses, airports, transit agencies, and community environments. Under the agreement, CharterUP will serve as Holon’s exclusive partner within defined deployment scenarios, with the aim of enabling organisations to transition from human-operated fleets to autonomous operations incrementally.

Holon’s core product is the Holon urban shuttle, a purpose-built, fully electric autonomous vehicle with capacity for up to 15 passengers. The shuttle operates at speeds of up to 60km/h on fixed or on-demand routes, carries a full sensor suite of lidar, radar, and cameras, and meets ADA accessibility requirements. The vehicle is manufactured in the United States and is backed by the engineering resources of the Benteler Group, a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Holon’s integrated offering also includes software and analytics from ioki and operational and infrastructure support from Benteler Mobility.

CharterUP will integrate Holon’s autonomous shuttle into its existing AI-enabled mobility platform, which currently manages human-operated fleets of over 8,000 vehicles. The partnership is structured to allow customers to begin with pilot deployments and scale to full autonomous operations as regulatory frameworks and operational readiness develop.

Armir Harris, Founder and Chief Executive of CharterUP, said: “By offering HOLON’s mobility solutions to our customers, we can help organisations evolve their transportation networks responsibly, starting with human-driven operations and transitioning to fully autonomous shuttles when they are ready.”

Dr Sven Herzig, Chief Sales Officer at Holon, added: “By combining Holon’s integrated mobility solution with CharterUP’s proven deployment expertise and national reach, we are enabling organisations to adopt autonomous transit safely, sustainably, and at scale.”
