AUDI E7X SUV debuts as Audi’s second China-only model

Audi has unveiled its AUDI E7X SUV at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, the second production model from the company’s China-exclusive AUDI brand and its first in the SUV segment. Audi also showcased the new A6L e-tron, its first fully electric upper mid-size sedan for China, alongside the new combustion-engine A6L.

The AUDI E7X measures 5,049 mm long on a 3,060 mm wheelbase and is available with system outputs of 300 or 500 kW. A 109 kW/h battery delivers a CLTC-rated range of more than 750 km, and the SUV features quattro all-wheel drive and a deployable 21.4-inch rear screen.

The A6L e-tron rides on a wheelbase extended by 132 mm and offers up to 815 km of CLTC-rated range from a battery of up to 107 kW/h. The combustion-engine A6L features a 140 mm longer wheelbase than the global model and engines producing up to 270 kW.

In a statement, Gernot Döllner, Chief Executive of Audi AG, said the two-brand strategy represents “the next chapter of the largest product initiative in Audi’s history in China.” Audi and SAIC also signed an agreement to develop four additional AUDI models and establish an AUDI Innovation and Technology Centre in Shanghai.

Audi has surpassed ten million cumulative customers in China across its FAW and SAIC partnerships. The A6L was the best-selling premium sedan in its class in China in 2025, and the AUDI E5 Sportback, AUDI’s first production model, was named China Car of the Year.
