Ampeco has launched CoOperator, an AI operations agent that automates diagnostics and executes network actions for EV charging operators
Ampeco has launched CoOperator, an AI-powered operations agent for electric vehicle (EV) charging network operators that delivers automated root cause diagnostics, a plain-language conversational interface and the ability to execute operational actions directly within the Ampeco dashboard. Available immediately to all platform customers across Ampeco’s network of more than 190 operators in over 70 countries, CoOperator will be demonstrated at the EV Charging Summit & Expo in Las Vegas on 18 March 2026.
CoOperator provides three categories of automated diagnostic output, which Ampeco calls Insights. Session Insights deliver a full analysis of a charging session including metadata, transaction records and OCPP message logs. Authorisation Insights trace the cause of a failed charge attempt, covering expired tokens, payment failures, network errors and business rule conflicts. Issue Insights are generated automatically upon detection of a hardware fault or connectivity loss, with no manual trigger required, and include root cause analysis, scope assessment and a recommended resolution path.
Beyond diagnostics, CoOperator can execute operational actions including creating chargers, updating pricing across locations and managing user groups, with each consequential change requiring explicit operator confirmation before execution. Each customer instance is physically isolated and operator data is not used for model training. Ampeco plans to follow the launch with CoOperator Workforce, a background automation layer for routine network operations, later in 2026.
In a statement, Michael Greenberg, Senior Vice President of Growth at Ampeco, said: “CoOperator lets operators add locations, adjust pricing, and troubleshoot across their entire network through a single conversation. Every action is confirmed before it runs.”
