Alfa Romeo brings Tonale and Stelvio to New York

Alfa Romeo returned to the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) for the 2026 edition, held 3–12 April, presenting the New Tonale and Stelvio as the centrepieces of its stand. The appearance marks more than a decade of continuous participation at the show, which celebrates its 124th year as one of the longest-running events in the global automotive calendar.

The New Tonale leads Alfa Romeo’s presence in the premium compact SUV segment, designed around the brand’s “necessary beauty” philosophy of functional form. Its redesigned front end features a concave scudetto grille inspired by the 33 Stradale, while a wider track gives the model a more commanding stance on the road. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 295 lb ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard Q4 all-wheel drive.

The Stelvio rounds out the stand as Alfa Romeo’s performance-focused SUV offer. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 280 horsepower and 306 lb ft of torque, it delivers a driver-focused experience in the mid-size SUV segment. Alfa Romeo confirmed that both the Stelvio and its sibling Giulia will remain on sale through 2027.
