Simone Curti takes over as Powertrain president on 30 June, succeeding Sylvain Blaise who is leaving to lead Manitou Group
Iveco Group has appointed Simone Curti as President of its Powertrain Business Unit, effective 30 June 2026. He will succeed Sylvain Blaise, who is leaving the commercial vehicle group after 24 years to take up the Chief Executive role at French handling equipment manufacturer Manitou Group.
Blaise will remain in his current role until the end of June to oversee the transition. He has led the Powertrain unit since Iveco Group’s spin-off from CNH Industrial in 2022, and previously held multiple leadership positions during his time with the company.
Curti joined the group in 2004 and has held a series of roles in its Truck and Powertrain business units, most recently leading Truck Business Unit commercial operations in EMEA. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Politecnico di Torino and will report to Olof Persson, Chief Executive of Iveco Group, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
In a statement, Persson said: “I want to thank Sylvain for his dedication to our customers and partners, and to the whole Powertrain team. Under his steady and forward-looking leadership, FPT has spearheaded innovation and technology development, along with efficiency and resilience.”
Persson added: “His achievements provide a strong foundation for the brand under its new leader, Simone Curti. I am confident that Simone will continue to accelerate our Powertrain business, leveraging his well-rounded experience and solid relationships with customers and partners.”
