Stellantis will deploy an AI-driven global cyber defence centre covering IT systems, connected vehicles and manufacturing sites

Stellantis and Microsoft have announced a five-year strategic collaboration to co-develop advanced AI, cybersecurity and cloud capabilities across the automaker’s global operations. The partnership will see joint teams work on more than 100 AI initiatives spanning customer care, product development and operations, including AI-powered validation, predictive maintenance and faster deployment of digital services.

Stellantis will also deploy an AI-driven global cyber defence centre covering its IT systems, connected vehicles, manufacturing sites and digital products. The automaker said the unified approach will enable faster threat detection and consistent protection of connected services and customer data.

Infrastructure modernisation using Microsoft Azure targets a 60% reduction in Stellantis’ data centre footprint by 2029, intended to support more scalable delivery of connected services and strengthen operational resilience. The automaker is also rolling out 20,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licences alongside a dedicated training programme.

Ned Curic, Stellantis Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, said: “As AI rapidly advances, we have been early adopters across our business, from engineering and manufacturing to design and customer interaction, embedding AI directly into our vehicles.”
