Horse Powertrain has celebrated the production of its three millionth transmission at its Changxing plant in China, with a Horse 7DCT seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox serving as the landmark unit. Chief Executive Matias Giannini and Deputy Chief Operating Officer Yang Kui attended the ceremony alongside plant staff, where teams were presented with “Honor Acceleration” awards recognising contributions to lean manufacturing.

Speaking at the event, Giannini described the Changxing facility as a benchmark plant within the group, citing its production volume, cost efficiency and product quality. He indicated that the milestone marks a stepping stone toward expanding next-generation hybrid powertrain production at the site. Yang Kui echoed that assessment, stating the plant will continue to develop its hybrid production lines and deepen its presence in the Changxing region.
The celebration also featured demonstrations of the plant’s smart factory capabilities, including humanoid robots performing precision material-handling tasks in the assembly area and robotic dogs deployed in collaborative production scenarios. Changxing is one of three global transmission manufacturing centres in Horse Powertrain’s network, which spans five R&D centres and 18 manufacturing facilities, with powertrain products sold in 130 countries.
