GAC has entered the Ethiopian market with four pure electric models and opened a 2,300-square-metre flagship showroom in Addis Ababa
GAC has launched four pure electric models in Ethiopia and opened the GAC Juntu Flagship Showroom in Addis Ababa, marking the Chinese automaker’s entry into the East African country’s electric vehicle market. The event, held on 27 March, introduced the Aion UT, Aion V Home, Hyptec HT and Hyptec HL to Ethiopian consumers.
The GAC Juntu Flagship Showroom spans 2,300 square metres and includes a professional after-sales workshop and a 4S-level sales and service system. GAC said the facility is currently the most advanced new energy vehicle showroom in Ethiopia. Services include home test drives, and the company announced plans to launch a dedicated mobile application to provide digital vehicle management for customers.

GAC exports vehicles to more than 86 countries and regions and has positioned Ethiopia as part of a broader global expansion strategy. The four models span the sedan and SUV segments and are intended to address a range of customer requirements in the Ethiopian market.
The automaker said it plans to continue expanding its presence in Ethiopia, citing its in-house research and development of electric drivetrain, battery and power management technologies as the basis for its international rollout.
