Marelli will demonstrate three production-ready automotive lighting systems at Auto China 2026, covering front, rear and adaptive driving beam technologies
Marelli will present three production-ready automotive lighting technologies at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, running from 24 April to 3 May, positioning lighting as a software-defined platform for design differentiation, driver interaction and safety functions. The showcase includes the Thin Corner-to-Corner Headlamp, the Flat Lit Surface digital rear lighting system and the h-Digi MicroLED headlamp module.

The Thin Corner-to-Corner Headlamp is a full-width, ultra-slim front lighting unit measuring 15mm by 120mm that integrates touch and voice interaction, including frunk access via touch or voice command in Chinese or English. The Flat Lit Surface combines organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology and Folia-LED surface lighting to produce three-dimensional rear illumination with a 6mm OLED pixel size, supporting stop, tail and turn signalling alongside vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication capability. The h-Digi MicroLED projection module is available in 25,000 and 40,000 pixel configurations, enabling high-precision adaptive driving beam (ADB), road projections and dynamic animations, with the 40,000-pixel version launched at the show and available for quotation.

In a statement, Frank Huber, President of Marelli’s Lighting business, said: “At Auto China in Beijing, we’re introducing innovations such as our Thin Corner-to-Corner Headlamp and Flat Lit Surface digital tail lamp, combining advanced functionality with distinctive design. Technologies like our 25K and 40K h-Digi MicroLED further enhance safety and comfort while opening up new possibilities for an impactful and personalised lighting experience.”
