Kia will present two European debuts of new PV5 variants at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from 21 to 23 April
Kia will present two European debuts at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from 21 to 23 April, centred on new length and height variants of its PV5 electric light commercial vehicle. The PV5 Cargo L1/H1 and L2/H2 will make their European debuts at the event, joining an existing L2/H1 model and two converted variants produced through Kia’s PBV Conversion Partners programme.
The L1/H1 variant introduces a new entry point into Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) range, with specifications and pricing to follow. A PV5 Chassis Cab, first shown at the Solutrans trade show in France in 2025, will also feature, demonstrating the platform’s compatibility with specialist body conversions across multiple sectors.
In a statement, Paul Philpott, President and Chief Executive of Kia UK, said: “Flexibility and reliability is crucial to our customers, and it’s exactly what our products deliver. To demonstrate this, we are further expanding the PV5 range by offering different heights and lengths. With the support of our PBV Conversion Partners, we’re now ready to debut examples of ways customers can tailor the PV5 for exactly what they need.”
The PV5 Cargo qualifies for the UK’s Zero Emission Van Grant, reducing the purchase price by £5,000. The Cargo L2/H1 starts from £27,645 excluding VAT and the grant. The PV5 was named 2026 International Van of the Year. Kia plans to follow the PV5 with the PV7 in 2027 and the PV9 in 2029.
