Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation has opened Fuso Tech Centre India in Kanchipuram, serving as a global hub for engineering, IT and after-sales functions
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has opened a new global engineering hub in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India, with Fuso Tech Centre India (FTCI) commencing operations on 9 March 2026. The 2,847-square-metre facility will support product engineering, IT, customer service, cost engineering and procurement functions across MFTBC’s global operations.
The centre features hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing facilities, a design studio, a diagnostic laboratory and collaborative workspaces. HIL testing enables control system validation without physical vehicles, reducing development time and improving precision across the product development cycle.
FTCI has been established near MFTBC’s existing supply base at the Oragadam plant in Chennai, operated by Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), from which MFTBC has supplied medium- and heavy-duty trucks to overseas markets since 2013. The proximity is intended to strengthen the truckmaker’s integrated value chain from development through to after-sales services.
The new structure consolidates engineering capabilities previously held within the broader Daimler Truck Group organisation into MFTBC’s own operations, supporting faster decision-making and cross-functional coordination across its global business.
