Aeva has been selected by an unnamed top five global passenger vehicle OEM for a vehicle development programme
Aeva has announced that a top five global passenger vehicle OEM has selected the company for a vehicle development programme. The programme focuses on Aeva’s Atlas Ultra 4D lidar sensor for the automaker’s global production vehicle platform, covering sensor configuration, integration and performance validation.
The supplier said the selection builds on its position as a direct tier one supplier to global automakers and autonomous vehicle (AV) developers. Aeva anticipates a large-scale production programme award following the completion of the development work.

In a statement, Soroush Salehian, Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Aeva, said: “This selection by one of the world’s most respected OEMs further validates the growing interest for our perception platform and strengthens our momentum in bringing Atlas Ultra to additional production vehicle platforms. Atlas Ultra’s combination of high resolution, long-range perception, and slim design positions it well for enabling advanced automated driving on future vehicle platforms.”
The Atlas Ultra sensor offers simultaneous range and velocity detection with high resolution at ranges up to 500 metres. Its form factor is designed for integration in highway-speed and urban automated driving applications.
