Škoda is presenting its broadest ever 4×4 portfolio, covering the Octavia, Superb, Karoq, Kodiaq, and the electric Elroq and Enyaq ranges.
Škoda has detailed its next-generation 4×4 portfolio spanning six model lines: the Octavia, Superb, Karoq, Kodiaq, and the all-electric Elroq and Enyaq. Combustion-engine variants use a new-generation electronically controlled multi-plate clutch integrated with the vehicle’s driver-assistance systems, adjusting torque distribution between axles in real time based on wheel speed, steering angle, and lateral acceleration inputs.
Electric 4×4 models use two motors — a permanent-magnet synchronous motor at the rear and an asynchronous motor at the front — with no mechanical connection between axles. The Elroq and Enyaq 4×4 are offered in two outputs: 210 kW in 85x form and 250 kW in RS specification. Škoda delivered almost 7,000 Elroq 4×4 models in 2025, with more than 30,000 Enyaq 4×4 deliveries across the same period, led by Germany, Norway, and the UK.
Among combustion models, the Kodiaq is the strongest performer by 4×4 mix, with AWD accounting for 39% of EU registrations in 2025. The Superb reached 29% AWD take-up, with the 2.0 TDI/142 kW variant its best-selling all-wheel-drive configuration. The Kodiaq supports trailer loads of up to 2.5 tonnes depending on specification.
Demand for Škoda 4×4 models is particularly strong in Alpine and Nordic markets, with Switzerland, Norway, Germany, and Poland among the leading regions across multiple model lines.
