Nobina has been awarded an eight-year contract to operate city transport services in Turku with 23 electric buses
Nobina has been awarded an eight-year contract by Föli to operate city transport services in Turku, Finland, deploying 23 fully electric tri-axle buses when services begin in July 2027. The contract includes an option for a two-year extension and strengthens Nobina’s presence in southwest Finland.
The high-capacity electric buses are designed to meet urban operational requirements while reducing noise and emissions. Nobina said the vehicles will contribute to cleaner air and an improved passenger experience.

“We are very pleased with Föli’s continued trust,” Topi Simola, Managing Director of Nobina Finland, said. “This contract allows us to further develop public transport in Turku together with our client and the region’s passengers. Advancing electrification is essential for creating sustainable, safe, and attractive journeys—both today and for future generations.”
Nobina said the contract represents a step in supporting the region’s climate ambitions while focusing on passenger needs.
