TomTom and AECOM have formed a global partnership integrating traffic data into infrastructure planning and management
TomTom has announced a global partnership with infrastructure firm AECOM, which will integrate the mapping company’s historic and real-time traffic data into its mobility planning, transport modelling and traffic management services. The partnership covers both public and private sector clients worldwide.
AECOM will have access to TomTom products including Traffic Stats, Origin Destination Analysis, Historic Traffic Volumes, Route Monitoring, Live Traffic and Junction Analytics. TomTom said its Live Traffic product provides low-latency speed data and incident detection to traffic management centres, road network managers and emergency services.

“We are excited to partner with TomTom to better support our customers in understanding the transportation and mobility shifts happening globally,” Dwight Pullen, Senior Vice President and Global Aviation and Surface Transport Leader at AECOM, said. “By accessing TomTom’s traffic data, we aim to improve our services in mobility and infrastructure planning, traffic management and congestion reduction, accessibility and mobility service assessments, and post-project evaluation and transport policy research.”
Ralf-Peter Schäfer, Vice President for Traffic and Travel Information at TomTom, added: “By combining AECOM’s infrastructure and mobility planning and delivery expertise with TomTom’s location intelligence, this partnership empowers decision-makers to plan, design, and deliver smarter mobility.”
