Mahindra’s UDO electric auto targets last-mile segment

Mahindra has launched the UDO electric three-wheeler in India, featuring airplane-inspired design and 200 km real-world range

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited has unveiled the UDO, an electric three-wheeler featuring what the company describes as segment-first full monocoque construction and an airplane-inspired design for the Indian market. The vehicle is priced at ₹384,299 ex-showroom, with an introductory price of ₹358,999 available for a limited period.

The UDO delivers a claimed real-world range of 200 km (265 km ARAI-certified) from an 11.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack rated at IP67. The powertrain produces 10 kW of peak power and 52 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 55 km/h.

Features include three drive modes (Range, Ride and Race), reverse throttle, regenerative braking, hill hold assist and creep mode for low-speed manoeuvring. The vehicle is backed by a warranty of 150,000 km or six years, with free servicing until 100,000 km.

“Built on deep customer insights, Mahindra UDO has been reimagined from the ground up to bring together safety, comfort, design and performance,” Suman Mishra, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited, said. “This product reflects our belief that mobility in last mile must move from survival to dignity, while setting new benchmarks for the category.”

The UDO is manufactured at Mahindra’s plant in Zaheerabad, which features automated battery assembly and robotised production lines.
