A January report from the Italian Federation of Metal Mechanics (FIM) and Italian Confederation of Workers’ Trade Unions (CISL) stated that car production at Stellantis in Italy fell by nearly 25% to less than 214,000 units in 2025, and light commercial vehicle production declined 14% to 166,000. The 390,000 unit total is almost half the 751,400 vehicles made in 2023. FIM-CISL said the results might have been worse if not for the production launches of the Fiat 500 hybrid and new Jeep Compass.
