AmpUp adds KlooBot AI charger diagnostics to EV Cloud

AmpUp has launched KlooBot, an AI-powered diagnostic engine built into its EV Cloud platform for electric vehicle (EV) charger site hosts and technicians. The tool sits in the existing AmpUp dashboard rather than as a separate chatbot, and is positioned as a 24/7 intelligence layer for monitoring charger uptime across mixed hardware.

Roll-out has started for AmpUp PRO subscribers, with the functionality appearing in the Community Manager dashboard from today. An expanded installer-facing version is due in the Field Console in early June.

For site hosts, KlooBot translates raw error codes into a plain-language breakdown of hardware states and root causes. A one-click health check can generate a summary for any charger with an open ticket, intended to brief hosts before they contact support.

The forthcoming installer version correlates OCPP error codes with hardware configurations and firmware versions, identifies issues such as breaker panel mapping and circuit load problems remotely, and offers AI-generated root-cause analysis. AmpUp says the aim is to cut truck rolls by sending the right technician with the right parts on the first visit.

In a statement, Tom Sun, Chief Executive at AmpUp, said: “The future of EV charging isn’t about giving site hosts more tools to manage; it’s about making the infrastructure smart enough to manage itself. KlooBot isn’t a personality or a separate product you have to learn. It is a foundational part of our EV Cloud.”
