Farizon launches V7E electric van in UK market

Farizon’s V7E is built on a drive-by-wire skateboard platform with a steer-by-wire chassis and brake-by-wire system

Chinese commercial vehicle maker Farizon has launched the all-electric V7E medium van at the UK Commercial Vehicle Show, targeting urban logistics operators. Prices start at £28,000 (US$37,838), excluding delivery and taxes, with customers offered a choice of 50 kW/h or 67 kW/h lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs supplied by CATL.

The V7E offers 6.95 m³ of cargo volume and payloads of 1,208 to 1,338 kg, with a 500 mm load floor and 1,100 mm dual sliding doors sized for a Euro pallet on a forklift. The 67 kW/h variant is rated at 204 miles (WLTP Combined) and 295 miles (WLTP City); the 50 kW/h model returns 149 and 210 miles respectively.

The van sits on Farizon’s GXA-M drive-by-wire skateboard architecture, featuring a dual-redundant steer-by-wire chassis and brake-by-wire system. A single 110 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives the front wheels, delivering 230 Nm of torque and a top speed of 75 mph. DC fast charging at 100 kW takes the battery from 20 to 80% in as little as 18 minutes, according to Farizon, while AC charging is capped at 11 kW.

Jameel Motors is distributing the V7E in the UK alongside the larger Farizon SV, with which it shares its by-wire platform. Farizon, the commercial vehicle division of China’s Geely, is backing the van with a five-year/120,000-mile warranty and four years of AA mobile service coverage. The model is available in three body colours in a single trim level with 17 ADAS functions as standard.
