Mercedes-Benz’s first all-electric C-Class offers up to 762km WLTP range and up to 325km recovered in 10 minutes
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the first all-electric C-Class, a mid-size saloon the automaker says redefines the segment with longer range, faster charging, and a reworked chassis and cabin. The launch model, the C 400 4MATIC electric, offers up to 762km WLTP range and can recover up to 325km in 10 minutes.

The saloon uses an 800-volt architecture and a 94 kW/h usable battery, supporting DC fast charging of up to 330 kW. A permanently excited synchronous motor on the rear axle pairs with a two-speed transmission, while 4MATIC variants add a front-axle motor with a disconnect unit to cut losses by up to 90% when not in use.
Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group, said: “The all-new electric C-Class is redefining the mid-size segment for electric vehicles. It is the most powerful and sportiest C-Class we have ever built, offering pure driving pleasure and outstanding real-world range.”

The optional Agility and Comfort package adds AIRMATIC air suspension with predictive damping using Car-to-X and Google Maps data, plus 4.5-degree rear-axle steering cutting the turning circle to 11.2 metres. Drag coefficient starts at 0.22.

The cabin centres on the optional 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen and a fourth-generation MBUX that uses a multi-agent AI assistant drawing on ChatGPT-4o, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini. Further rear- and all-wheel drive variants, including a rear-drive model with an expected range of around 800km, follow next year.
