Robus, a subsidiary of Robo.ai, has begun delivering its first commercial prototype vehicles in Pakistan as it targets South Asian expansion
Robus, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Robo.ai, has begun delivering its initial commercial prototype vehicles in Pakistan, marking the company’s first commercial fulfilment milestone. The deliveries follow the completion of manufacturing for the first batch of prototypes and are intended to test the company’s cross-border supply chain and order fulfilment processes.
River Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of Robus, said the Pakistan deployment is designed to serve as a foundation for broader expansion across the Middle East, South Asia and other markets. The company is developing what it describes as a modular smart mobility platform targeting commercial vehicle customers in logistics, industrial and public transportation, with a focus on total cost of ownership.
In a statement, Zhang said Robus is “constructing a deployable smart mobility operational model intended for multi-regional use,” with Pakistan selected as a launch market due to its transition toward new energy commercial vehicles and a population exceeding 200 million.
Robo.ai said it intends to advance volume orders and increase manufacturing capacity following the initial prototype deliveries, as part of its broader commercialisation of an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven intelligent transportation ecosystem.
