Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has launched the Xforce SUV after pre-orders exceeded the initial 2,000-unit target
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has launched the Xforce compact SUV, beginning sales on 8 April 2026 after pre-orders surpassed an initial target of 2,000 units since opening on 5 February 2026. The model is locally produced at the Pekan plant in Pahang by contract manufacturer HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
Positioned alongside the Xpander as a core model for the Malaysian market, the Xforce is a five-seater compact SUV that first went on sale in Indonesia in November 2023. It has since been introduced across other ASEAN markets including Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Mitsubishi Motors describes the Xforce as one of its global strategic models, offering a spacious five-passenger cabin while maintaining a compact body. The vehicle is intended to serve a broad range of customers, balancing urban practicality with SUV presence.
In a statement, Takashi Sakamaki, Chief Executive Officer of MMM, said: “Built on the trusted reliability and outstanding handling cultivated by Mitsubishi Motors, the Xforce aims to be a vehicle that supports a wide range of customer lifestyles. From everyday driving to more active pursuits, the Xforce is designed to encourage challenge and adventure. We remain committed to delivering vehicles that respond to evolving customer needs with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.”
