Applied Intuition and LG Innotek are combining sensors and autonomy software to give automakers a faster path to production AV systems
Applied Intuition and LG Innotek have announced a strategic partnership to integrate LG Innotek’s camera, lidar and radar sensors with Applied Intuition’s self-driving system (SDS), giving automakers a combined hardware and software pathway for developing production-ready autonomous vehicles. The collaboration links real-world testing through Applied Intuition’s global fleet with simulation-based validation, enabling earlier and more integrated sensor evaluation during development.
Under the agreement, LG Innotek’s sensors will be deployed across Applied Intuition’s autonomous development vehicles operating in multiple regions, generating perception feedback and reference data to support sensor performance evaluation. Digital versions of the sensors will also be integrated into Applied Intuition’s simulation environment, allowing automakers to test sensor behaviour in virtual scenarios before physical validation.

The partnership additionally supports LG Innotek’s plans to operate its own autonomous test vehicles in Korea, using Applied Intuition’s software platform to shorten development timelines for new sensing solutions currently under development.
“Autonomous vehicles will only scale if the hardware and software ecosystems evolve together,” said Qasar Younis, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Applied Intuition. “By working directly with LG Innotek, we’re making it easier for automakers to evaluate sensors, validate performance in simulation and on real roads, and ultimately move autonomy systems from development into production.”
Hyuksoo Moon, Chief Executive of LG Innotek, added: “Through this collaboration with Applied Intuition, we will provide customers with exceptional solutions that set a new standard in autonomous driving.”
