The final quarter of 2025 saw several automakers decide to cut their losses on electric vehicle (EV) investments. With the geopolitical momentum that originally fostered the segment’s growth in several markets now waning, some OEMs believe profits and survival depend on reverting back to internal combustion engines (ICE).
