Empresa Casal has ordered 17 Iveco Bus vehicles, including Crossway Hybrid and Urbanway CNG models, for Seville services
Spanish operator Empresa Casal has taken delivery of 17 Iveco Bus vehicles for metropolitan services in Seville. The order comprises Crossway Hybrid models for intercity routes and Urbanway compressed natural gas (CNG) buses for urban operations, continuing a long-standing partnership between the two companies.
The Crossway Hybrid models combine an internal combustion engine with an electric system that recovers braking energy, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The Urbanway CNG buses are intended for urban environments, with lower pollutant emissions and reduced noise levels during operation.

In a statement, Giorgio Zino, Head of Iveco Bus Commercial Operations in Europe, said: “Casal’s renewed confidence confirms that reliability is not merely a commitment; it is proven every day in real-world operations. Our vehicles are designed to ensure availability, energy efficiency and long-term durability. This delivery demonstrates our ability to offer multi-energy solutions tailored to each application, fully aligned with the operational constraints of metropolitan public transport.”
Empresa Casal said the investment aims to improve passenger service quality while contributing to the decarbonisation of public transport in the Seville metropolitan area. The operator cited fleet reliability, optimised maintenance, and controlled operating costs as factors in its vehicle selection.
