Pos Malaysia has unveiled what it describes as Malaysia’s first autonomous logistics vehicle, a fully electric driverless platform developed with Zelos Malaysia subsidiary Autonomous Logistic Solutions (ALS), as part of a collaborative agreement signed between the companies. The Zelos vehicle is designed for high-volume, point-to-point B2B deliveries and is already deployed in markets including China, Singapore and the UAE, with the Malaysian operation enabled by 5G connectivity through Digital Nasional Berhad.

The launch event was attended by Dato’ Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, and featured the signing of the partnership agreement. Pos Malaysia said the initiative builds on its existing electric vehicle fleet as part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Over the next six months, Pos Malaysia and ALS will conduct a proof of concept within live operational environments, working with the Ministry of Transport, JPJ and Futurise to ensure alignment with regulatory and safety frameworks.

The autonomous vehicle deployment forms part of Pos Malaysia’s digital transformation and sustainability strategy, with the company describing it as a step toward enabling autonomous logistics on Malaysian roads.
